I am passionate about the technical properties of painting and drawing and how I can use the practical knowledge and skills I have to create images that communicate my theoretical concerns. My Fine Art studies at The Glasgow School of Art have greatly developed my painting practice due to the school's unique programme that favours studio work over theory.
My work is concerned with how society demarcates adults and children. I am exploring where it is that the perceived behaviours and/or concerns of each overlap.
I am currently developing my knowledge of Trompe L'oeil illusion painting whilst also exploring different ways that drawing can be used as a tool to communicate imagined images.
I have been invited to make six works by The Suppan Contemporary Gallery in Vienna for a group exhibition that takes place April 2009.
